In “Star Moment”, the adventurer is Grandma Elli, a Finnish-American old lady. Elli was born in Mikkeli from DAS dough, which was baked in an oven. The pictures show her approximate stages of creation. Life has not treated her kindly, and she now lives in the back alleys of Brooklyn. One day, however, Elli discovers a true treasure; lying on top of the trash is a shimmering pearl necklace and a diamond tiara!

Symbolism of the work: Just like the treasure Elli found from the trash, Jesus is still despised and mocked. Far too many cast Him aside into the “trash.” Yet when one finds Him, the whole world and life open up in entirely new colors. In one sense everything is exactly the same as before, but at the same time one realizes that, in a single moment, life has gained a depth and meaning that feels almost tangible.
