Stories Behind the Paintings
I only began painting as an adult, in my thirties, as a mother of a family. Art was never my strong suit at school, especially in upper secondary. I mean that, for example, in my comprehensive school leaving certificate it was a 6 (when numbers go from 4 to 10).
When, sometime in ninth grade or shortly after, I realized that I could just toss perspective and still lifes out the window, my world began to change little by little 🙂
But still for years and years, I did not even dare to think about touching any colors. The hobby began purely with a pencil, nothing else. Colors came into my life only with the Africa theme, and I am still on that path today!
These images will lead you to the stories behind the paintings. Some of the paintings are purely flights of imagination; others have come through prayer, for example as intercessory prayer or based on a vision or revelation.
