Does God exist?

A question that has circulated in people’s reflections throughout the history of the world. There are many interpretations that suggest that “it does not matter what you believe, as long as you do not harm other people or yourself.” In that sense, you are free to choose whatever you think represents the “raisins in the bun.”
The truth is that no amount of persuasion in the world is enough to “prove” that we have a God who created everything. As evidence, neither the wonderfully beautiful, unimaginably orderly, and unique nature around us suffices—nor does the fact that you and I are, for the time being, both breathing.
Proving God’s existence scientifically has also been on the agenda of certain groups in particular. If something cannot be proven scientifically, then it does not exist. I personally think that scientific evidence is part of everyone’s everyday life! Or what do you think— is it a coincidence that the shimmer of a butterfly’s wing has inspired, among other things, the design of a revolutionary system to prevent banknote counterfeiting? (Pekka Reinikainen; Eläimet opettavat, 2019. TV7, Helsinki.)

Or that the nose design of today’s ultra-fast bullet trains was taken directly from the beak of the kingfisher? (This is quite literally true— it was a leading inspiration in the design of the front of Japan’s Shinkansen train!) The engineers’ problem was that when these super-fast trains enter a tunnel, they “push” air ahead of them. When they emerge from the other end of the tunnel and that compressed air is released in front of the train, it causes a loud bang. To address this noise problem, they experimented with a computer model based on the kingfisher’s beak and discovered that the noise was reduced. (ibid.)
If inspirational examples of engineering like those mentioned above interest you, it is worth reading the book Animals Teach by physician Pekka Reinikainen. Nature, biology, animals, and plant life are overwhelmingly powerful evidence that NONE of them could simply have come into existence “by chance” or as the result of evolution!
I prove that God exists. It is up to you to believe.
People today often demand concrete evidence for things that cannot, however, be immediately verified by the senses. Belief in God does not fit into that category. The only thing I can do is share my own experiences with God—life with the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
What first proved to me that there is a God who has a Son, and who is present in this world through His Holy Spirit, was that I received a peace in my heart that felt almost tangible. It happened when I made a conscious decision that I wanted change in my life. Even though I was open, joyful, and approachable, there was nevertheless an immense loneliness and emptiness within me. What Jesus says in the Bible is truly, very concretely true:
"Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid." Joh.14:27
The peace of heart was thus my first proof that a living God exists. The second important factor was its “tangibility,” which proved to me that this is a real God who is able to be in a reciprocal relationship with me. A significant part of my blog will certainly be built on this reciprocity as well. I want to tell you about those “supernatural” encounters—countless situations in which the Father has guided me—so that you too might believe.
Last week I wrote about the topic “how does one come to faith”. If the subject interests you, you can read the post and watch the video about how I came to faith.
