Gotta Watch? / Gotta Watch!
“Look, I am coming soon! Blessed is the one who
keeps the words of the prophecy written in this scroll.”
“Look, I am coming soon! My reward is with me, and
I will give to each person according to what they have done.
I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End.
Revelation 22:7, 12-13
This piece, too, ended up making its home in an old key cabinet. In English, the name becomes clearer than in Finnish. It is: Gotta watch? – Gotta watch! This refers to someone first asking for the time, and then—with the very same words—urging someone to stay alert and watchful.

The work began with a pocket watch I found at a flea market. On both the inside and outside covers there is an image of a male lion. For me, and surely for every believer, it represents the Lion of Judah. The watch is set to the time shown by the so-called Doomsday Clock at the University of Chicago at the time this piece was completed.

The works I present in this blog have come into being through the cooperation of the Holy Spirit’s guidance and my own reflections. In a wonderful way, the Father opened up matters and questions concerning my own life through these pieces. The return of Jesus is very near, based on the clear pattern of how the prophecies given in our history (in the Bible) have been fulfilled one after another before our eyes. Yet Jesus is a sure refuge; living one’s life with Him is wonderful.

Color symbolism: the silver color in the sand represents God’s army and His victory.
